Frequently Asked Questions

Some common questions have been answered. If you cannot find the information you need, please get in touch.

01  How much electricity does a machine use?

This depends on the equipment but on average, most machines consume around 250 watts, which equates to around 75p per day. Based on a unit rate of 30p per KWH & a machine powered for 10 hours daily.

02  What are your rental charges?

We understand that a rental option that works for one business may not work for another, so we offer a flexible approach. We can supply machines on terms that suit you and your business. Our machines are available in one of two ways:

Fixed Rental - You'll receive all the money from the equipment in turn for a fixed fee.

Profit Share - We take a percentage of the machine's income meaning that if you're unsure if a machine will be viable, you cannot lose. If it doesn't make any money neither do we!

03  What licenses & permits I need for gaming machines?

We can sort this for you. All we need is some basic information and we can apply for everything on your behalf to ensure you're fully compliant. A machine where a prize, greater than the cost per play can be won, will generally require the following:

MGD (Machine Games Duty)

This is a percentage-based tax on gaming machines and the rate will depend on the price per play & the prizes that can be won. To make life simple we can collect and pay this on your behalf. There are some exemptions to this i.e. lottery machines. Click here for further information

Local Authority Permit

A permit from your local council will be required which stipulates the number and categories of machines you are allowed. There are some exemptions to these i.e. skill-based machines. Click here for further information

04  How often do you empty your machines?

If you are renting equipment from us, then you'll have a set of keys so you can do this whenever you like. We ensure that machines supplied on profit share are emptied regularly, all customers are different and we can vary our collections to suit and we can arrange additional collections if machines have been used more than usual.

05  Cash is no longer king, what can you do?

...We're already doing it! Current legislation does not allow cards to be used directly on gaming machines, however, this is under review. We have the technology and systems in place to enable our machines to work with cards once this changes. All other machines can be operated with both cash and card or just card.
